When selecting a BSc (Hons) in Business Studies, several factors influenced my decision. Firstly, I was influenced by my father, a diligent entrepreneur, who inherited my grandfather's entrepreneurial spirit, Chin & Ng Communication, and owner of Chin Concepts Cellular Sdn Bhd, a telecommunication service provider at Port Klang. He specialises in retailing smartphones and stands out in phone trading, and repairing, as well as an extensive selection of accessories & photo printing services. His dedication and commitment have continued my family legacy, providing quality products and exceptional service to his valued customers. I hope that one day I can be as successful as him and hence, I selected this programme.

Furthermore, the programme's comprehensive curriculum offered a wide range of subjects, covering essential aspects of business such as marketing, finance, management, and economics. This holistic approach appealed to me as it provided a well-rounded understanding of various business functions. It also aligned with my career aspirations, offering a solid foundation in business knowledge and skills essential for real-world challenges. It aligns well with my career goals in the business field.

My programme has been instrumental in preparing me for employment by providing a comprehensive and practical understanding of various aspects of the business realm. The programme equipped me with a strong foundation in business concepts, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills, which are crucial in the professional world. For instance, some of my courses required us to create presentation slides, and this skill has proven directly useful in my internships and my current role in Sales & Marketing at Dreamax Elite Management.

During my internship at WebTVAsia's Artiste Department and in my current position, I still utilised these skills for proposal creation and presentations. This has helped me convey my ideas and thoughts to my clients efficiently, boosting my confidence in speaking in front of them. Moreover, working in groups with different coursemates during my programme also taught me the importance of teamwork and communication. These skills, indirectly cultivated through group projects, have been vital in the workplace. Overall, these abilities have benefited both the companies and the artists I have worked with.

In summary, my programme has not only provided me with theoretical knowledge but has also empowered me with practical skills that have proven instrumental in navigating the challenges and contributing effectively to my roles in the professional world. My employment journey has been an evolving and enriching experience. While my current position at Dreamax Elite Management is a significant part of my professional journey, it is not my first job. Before stepping into the role of Sales & Marketing at Dreamax Elite Management, I gained valuable insights during my internships and held a PR and Sales Executive position at Pong Pong Entertainment.

Navigating through various roles has not been without its challenges. Job seeking in the competitive industry of influencer marketing and entertainment presented hurdles that required persistence and adaptability. However, each challenge served as a learning opportunity, pushing me to refine my skills and approach to stand out in the dynamic job market.

Through these experiences, I have honed my ability to navigate different professional environments, adapt to new challenges, and continually grow in my career. Overall, my employment journey has been a continuous learning process, shaping me into a more resilient and skilled professional.

One of the most fulfilling achievements in my career is my role in facilitating sponsorships and payments for my artists/content creators. Being able to contribute to their growth and assist them in creating higher-quality content for their social media platforms brings me a great sense of pride. This accomplishment not only enhances the profiles of the individuals I work with but also aligns with my initial intention of entering the industry – to help clients gain exposure through engaging and impactful content.

In the course of my career, I've successfully collaborated with a diverse range of brands and agencies. These experiences have allowed me to broaden my professional network and deepen my understanding of effective collaborations in the dynamic landscape of influencer marketing and entertainment. Being actively involved in Sunway University Cheerleading added a unique layer of richness to my overall university experience. Participating in these extracurricular activities not only allowed me to develop essential leadership skills and collaborate with diverse groups but also brought an exciting element to the vibrant campus community through cheerleading. Holding positions in the cheerleading club provided me with a dynamic platform to implement creative ideas, organize spirited events, and contribute to the overall campus culture. This involvement not only enhanced my leadership capabilities but also allowed me to share the enthusiasm and energy of cheerleading with my fellow students.

One of my fondest memories from my time at Sunway University revolves around the vibrant experiences as part of the Sunway University Cheerleading team. From the exciting Cheerleading Showcases before competitions to the exhilaration of National & International Cheerleading Competitions overseas in countries like Singapore, Thailand, and Korea, including representing Team Malaysia and Team Sunway where we secured titles, each event added layers of excitement and accomplishment to my university journey.

Our performances at both university and commercial events showcased our passion while engaging in Cheerleading Exchanges with local and international universities deepened connections. Interacting with cheerleaders from Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, and China enriched my global perspective and brought me closer to a vibrant community of like-minded individuals.

The Club & Societies Carnival for recruitment, Team Bonding Sessions, and the Annual Party contributed to a sense of unity. Selling SUC Supporter Tees for fundraising has also highlighted our commitment to teamwork and the pursuit of excellence.

Team Training & Tumbling Sessions not only honed our skills but also nurtured a strong sense of camaraderie within the cheerleading team. The memorable and exhausting Cheer Camp during the weekend before competitions not only prepared us physically and mentally but also solidified the bonds within the team.
Being chosen as a talent for commercial shoots provided a unique opportunity to showcase my passion beyond the campus.

One notable endeavour was our concerted effort to secure sponsorships with the Marketing Department, highlighting our dedication beyond the cheerleading mat.
Therefore, I would like to take this golden opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to my coaches, Kai Ling and Jin Long, our sports advisor, Mr Mok as well as Mr Patrick and Ms Angela Chiew from the Marketing Department for their unwavering support and guidance throughout my cheerleading journey in Sunway University.

Looking back, these varied and enriching experiences have become an integral and cherished part of my university journey at Sunway University, showcasing the dynamism and collaborative spirit within the cheerleading community.

In my free time, I'm deeply passionate about cheerleading, which goes beyond just a hobby – it's a significant part of my life. As a member of the Sunway University Cheerleading team, I invest time in practices, team activities, and gearing up for competitions.

Beyond cheerleading, I enjoy staying active, whether it's hitting the gym, trying out outdoor activities, or exploring new fitness trends. I find joy in maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

To add a little extra income, I've taken on coaching cheerleading and tumbling during my free hours. It's not only a way to share my skills and knowledge but also a fun and rewarding side hustle.

Additionally, I'm a movie enthusiast. Whether it's catching the latest releases or enjoying classics, I find relaxation and entertainment in the world of cinema. I also often spend time with friends and fellow cheerleaders. We organize casual hangouts, participate in community events, or just enjoy shared interests, adding a sense of friendship and balance to my life.

In summary, my free time is filled with the excitement of cheerleading, staying physically active, enjoying movies, coaching cheerleading and tumbling, and hanging out with friends – making my student life at Sunway University dynamic and fulfilling.

I graduated from Sunway University with a Diploma in Business Administration in July 2018 and a BSc (Hons) in Business Studies in July 2021. During my time at Sunway, I was an active member of the Sunway University Cheerleading team, serving as both a participant as well as a Cheerleading and Tumbling Coach. This not only fulfilled my passion for cheerleading but also provided an additional source of income.

My career path in the entertainment and talent management industry was not initially planned during my time at Sunway University. My journey into the entertainment and talent management industry was sparked by my genuine interest, which developed while I was actively searching for internship opportunities. While pursuing my BSc (Hons) in Business Studies, my focus was just primarily on acquiring a strong foundation in business concepts.

During my internship at the Artiste Department of WebTVAsia, it was through hands-on experiences, assisting in proposals, contributing to social media content ideation, and participating in music video and advertorial productions, that I discovered my passion for the entertainment industry. The dynamic and creative nature of the work resonated with me and opened my eyes to the exciting possibilities within this industry.

Subsequently, my role as a PR and Sales Executive at Pong Pong Entertainment further solidified my path in the entertainment industry, where I actively engaged with clients, managed talents, and coordinated various services. This journey unfolded organically, and I embraced the opportunities that presented themselves, leading me to a fulfilling career in entertainment and talent management.

In essence, my journey into the entertainment industry was not initially planned but unfolded organically as I explored internship opportunities and discovered the unique and fulfilling aspects of this career path.

Throughout my career in the entertainment and talent management industry, I have achieved several notable accomplishments that showcase my dedication and contribution to the field. One significant achievement is my successful collaboration with over 40 renowned brands, including VIVO, Amway, Laifen, Heineken, TRX Exchange Mall, Gamuda, Samsung, Spritzer, TikTok, McDonald's, and many more. As a PR & Sales Executive at Pong Pong Entertainment and Sales & Marketing at Dreamax Elite Management, I played a pivotal role in responding to client inquiries as well as promoting artists, content creators and talents of the companies. Furthermore, I coordinated various services such as influencer marketing, talent management, live performances, music and music video production and so on. This resulted in successful partnerships that not only enhanced the exposure of my company’s artists and talents but also contributed to the growth and success of the brands we collaborated with.

Additionally, my role as a Cheerleading and Tumbling Coach at Python Cheerleading within Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus allowed me to actively contribute to the success of cheerleading performances and competitions. Being part of events for companies like Honda, Rising Group, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, and involvement in a music video production by Pong Pong Entertainment further stand out as significant accomplishments in my career.

Overall, these achievements underscore my ability to effectively navigate the dynamic and competitive landscape of the entertainment industry, showcasing a track record of successful collaborations and contributions to the success of both talents and brands.

In today's fast-paced work environment, young individuals should focus on developing important skills for their career success.
