Sunway University has improved its ranking in the 2021 UI GreenMetric (UIGM) World University Rankings after it leaped 193 places to #280 position out of 956 universities worldwide.

This ranking was a tremendous improvement over the previous year when the university was at #473.

The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia based on the green campus sustainability and environmental management efforts through six main criteria, namely setting and infrastructure; energy and climate change; waste; water; transportation and education.
