Biography

Dr. Dewika Naidu is a distinguished professional with a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, complemented by a Master's degree in Engineering (Environmental) and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical) (Hons), all earned at the same institution. Her academic journey reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence in the field.

A registered Professional Engineer in Chemical Engineering with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and an Associate of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), Dr. Dewika also serves as a panelist in the Engineering Accreditation Panel for BEM. Additionally, she holds the title of Professional Technologist in Atmospheric Science & Environment Technology (AC), registered with the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT). She is a Panel of Assessors for the Council of Accreditation for Technology and Technical (TTAC) under MBOT.

With an extensive background in the industry, Dr. Dewika has contributed her expertise to esteemed multinational organizations, including Siemens (M) Sdn Bhd, German Technical Consultancy-GTZ, and AMR Environmental Consultancy firm. Her professional journey encompasses diverse facets of Chemical Engineering, including business development, project management, and consultancy services.

Dr. Dewika's research ventures span vital domains within environmental science and engineering, focusing on indoor and outdoor ambient microplastics, air pollution control, mitigation, and the assessment of indoor and outdoor air quality. Beyond her research endeavors, she passionately advocates for green technology, with a specific emphasis on urban gardening structures to minimize carbon footprint.

In her commitment to knowledge dissemination, Dr. Dewika serves as an engineering lecturer at the School of American Education, Sunway University. Her dedication to both education and industry underscores her passion for advancing the field and making meaningful contributions to a sustainable future.
