Submission Guidelines

The International Tourism and Retail Management Conference 2021 welcomes three forms of submissions: Extended abstract, full paper, and e-poster.

All submissions also need to include a short abstract (maximum 100 words), which will be published in the book of abstracts.

Extended abstract submission

  • 500 to 1,000 words
  • The abstract needs to include 5 keywords that define the subject matter
  • The abstract should summarize the key points of the paper
  • At least one of the authors must register and present at the conference once the abstract is accepted

Full paper submission

  • Only the full paper submission will be considered for best paper awards
  • 5,000 to 7,000 words, including references
  • All papers will be submitted for a double-blind review by the scientific committee.
  • The sections should include:
    • Abstract with 5 keywords
    • Introduction
    • Literature review (critical review on relevant literature, conceptual framework)
    • Methodology (Research design, sampling and population, data collection, and analytical methods may be included)
    • Results
    • Discussion and Conclusion
    • References
  • BEST PAPER AWARDS will be competitively selected by the Scientific Committee after assessing the final version of the Full Paper submitted
  • All quality papers submitted to the conference will have a chance to be invited to submit, and get published in featured journals

Video submission

  • All extended abstracts / papers submitted will need to be submitted along with a pre-recorded video of the extended abstract / paper presentation
  • The pre-recorded videos submitted will function as an alternative should delegates face any Internet connectivity issues
  • The pre-recorded videos should be no more than 15 minutes
  • The pre-recorded videos are strictly used for the purpose of this conference’s panel session ONLY
  • Consent of the author(s) to allow the use of the pre-recorded videos for the aforementioned purpose are implied

e-Poster submission

  • As this is an online conference, we will be using video e-Posters
  • Author(s) will be asked to submit a 5-min narrated video, rather than a traditional physical poster using approximately 5-7 slides
  • The e-Poster video will be displayed to view during the entire conference
  • An abstract (single-spaced and maximum 500 words) should be submitted for initial review
  • The abstract should summarize the key points of the paper with 5 keywords that define the subject matter
  • At least one of the authors must register and present at the conference once the abstract is accepted, and be present during the e-Poster discussion time

  • BEST E-POSTER AWARDS will be competitively selected by the judging panel based on presenter’s demonstration of understanding for the subject matter, clarity of the research project description, the academic approach, and test results

Submissions must be an original contribution and should not have been previously published nor under consideration for publication elsewhere. Individual and multiple authors are welcome to contribute. All submissions should be typed in MS WORD format, single-spaced with one-inch margins and using 12-point Times New Roman font (exception of tables 10-point Times New Roman) and follow the format and style described in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA, 7th edition). PDF files of abstracts will not be accepted.
