Biography

Elizabeth Andrews has been in the academic field in Malaysia (Sunway Business School) and (University of Southern Queensland [Casual Staff-2013-2017]) for more than 20 years. She has completed her PhD (2017) in Social Marketing, (University of Southern Queensland) with her research focus on Factors that influence dietary choice amongst people living with diabetes. Apart from teaching and research interests, Elizabeth has also been involved with speaking engagements such as-guest speaker on the Australian Broadcasting Channel (ABC), Toowoomba, Queensland and at the Qualitative Community of Practice, University of Southern Queensland, Australia where she presented her expertise and knowledge on diabetes health management. Elizabeth was conferred as a fellow member of the Higher Education Academy of UK upon completion of her Certificate of Academic Practice from Lancaster University, UK. She is also a member of the Australian Marketing Institute. Elizabeth has presented papers in both local and international conferences such as, The 2019 Bio-Medical Symposium, Sunway Medical Convention Centre, Malaysia and The Australian and New Zealand Marketing Conferences (ANZMAC), on her research area and findings. She has also presented her area on diabetes dietary choice using a Social Marketing framework at the James Cook University Singapore on-line Greenbag Seminar Series, December 2020. Currently she is also working with various institutions and organisations to develop and collaborate transferable ideas and practices in areas such as teaching, social marketing, global business and sustainable living.
