Biography

Associate Professor Dr Andrew Filmer holds awards in teaching, public speaking, research, music performance, and leadership. He has conducted the Selangor Symphony Orchestra and Ensemble Virama, was a Festival Artist at the 48th International Viola Congress, and was Editor of the Journal of the American Viola Society. Andrew’s research has been presented at the University of Cambridge twice, at three International Viola Congresses, and has been published internationally.

Andrew has facilitated workshops for Trinity College London and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and has recorded on Rattle Records with New Zealand jazz band The Troubles.
