The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) through Young Scientists Network – ASM (YSN-ASM) is organising the 2024 YSN-ASM Chrysalis Award with the theme of ‘Tomorrow's Leaders: Cultivating a Culture of Innovation and Impact for Our Nations and Communities’. This award, which had been successfully organised for the previous consecutive four (4) years since 2020 aims to identify and recognise the talents of promising future researchers amongst final year PhD students in Malaysia. It also strives to empower the researchers to be responsive, adaptive, and collaborative in alignment with the Science, Technology, Innovation and Economic (STIE) outlook for Malaysia and ultimately, to inspire them to contribute back to the society. This award serves as a valuable platform for early-career researchers to embark on a promising career path ahead.

As finalist, Syahirah is required to participate in Ten (10) YSN-ASM Chrysalis workshops and 2024 YSN-ASM Chrysalis Award Final Pitch to present the final proposals. In alignment with its objective of nurturing the talents of promising future scientists, the finalists will also be receiving continuous support and mentoring from YSN-ASM for the next five (5) years.
