The Lost Food Project

Today, approximately 1.4 billion tons of food were wasted each year in Malaysia. This food waste could have fed 1.4 billion people instead, so it was a HUGE issue that we needed to address!

Five SSV volunteers joined The Lost Food Project to reduce food waste on a Thursday night. They helped to load unsold vegetables and fruits into the TLFP truck while learning about preservation techniques. Through this cause, the unsold food would then go to those in need.

Saving food was not only beneficial for the environment but also for people who were starving. Let's all do our part to reduce food waste and make the world a better place, one bite at a time!
