Sunway Student-Athletes Excel at Sukan Institusi Pendidikan Malaysia (SIPMA) 2023

Our Sunway student-athletes excelled at the 2023 rendition of the Sukan Institusi Pendidikan Malaysia (SIPMA), which took place from September 11 to September 16 at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris in Tanjung Malim, Perak.

SIPMA is a biennial sports carnival in which eight sports councils from the Ministries of Education and Higher Education compete in eight sporting events.

The list of Sunway students who received a medal is as follows:

Ng Jing Xuan (FIA): Gold Medallist for Athletics – Women’s Javelin

Yeo Khaining (BSDA): Gold Medallist for Aquatics – Swimming, 4x100m Freestyle Relay & 4x200m Freestyle Relay (second from the left in group picture)

Eng Chun Yu (BIB) & Yong Jing Ren (DENT): Gold Medallist for Badminton - Men's Doubles

Ryan Wong Zhen Nam (BAS): Bronze Medallist for Athletics - 4x100m Men's Relay (second from the right in group picture)

Vyance Teo Ven Shi (ALE): Bronze Medallist for Netball (top right in group picture)

Pua Hui Ming (BIB): Bronze Medallist for Volleyball ( middle of the top row in group picture)
