Sunway Debate Club (SUNDEC) Achieves 9th Best ESL Team in the World

Let’s give a BIG shoutout to our Sunwayians, Wesley Pu and Shireen A. from the Sunway Debate Club (SUNDEC) for their remarkable achievement! At the recent World Universities Debating Championship 2022 hosted virtually, they achieved success in:

• 9th best ESL team in the world
• Highest ranked Malaysian team
• 40th Best in the world overall (out of 400 teams)
• Notable victories over Imperial, Stanford, St. Andrews, UWA

In terms of individual results:
• Shireen Ali was top 1% among ESL debaters
