A Memorable Visit by a BSc (Hons) Psychology Alumna

Our alumnus Mdm TamMi Teow dropped by the Sunway University campus on 12th April 2022. TamMi enrolled in the BSc (Hons) Psychology in 2008 and successfully graduated in 2012. Her final year research project was supervised by Dr. Woo Pei Jun. 

Presently, TamMi holds a franchisee in Mental Arithmetic and IMaths from UCMAS (affiliated with UCIC International with branches in 85 countries). TamMi holds their Premier Teacher certificate and Invigilator certification. She usually teaches during the weekends. 

At the tender age of 67, TamMi also serves as a committee member of the SCCSJ (Senior Citizen Club Subang Jaya); and helps in PAWE (Persatuan Activities Warga Emas). She assists with translation work and writing of the society’s activities. Due to her psychological background, TamMi would also be approached by members to discuss/manage mental health or family issues. In the pipeline are plans for her to offer English classes to the said elderly members. 

In closing, she wishes all her juniors, “Play hard but study even harder as your future depends on these few critical years. Don’t disappoint your parents who sponsored you to Sunway. You have got a chance unlike me who only now, is able to sponsor myself!”
