Sunway University Becomes the First Sponsor of the FA Cup

Sunway University recently became the first institution in Malaysia to be one of the sponsors in the oldest football cup competition in the world, the English FA Cup. The university sponsored the jerseys of English League Two club Newport County in their recent FA Cup fourth-round tie against English Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur, in which the underdogs took their more famous London opponents to a replay after drawing 1-1 in the first game before losing 2-0 at Wembley Stadium. Newport's story is one of community spirit, perseverance and achievement over adversity, and similar values are evident at Sunway University Malaysia.
