Bringing Broadway Musical to You
Amazing news to theatre enthusiasts! The multi-award-winning Mel Brooks’ musical comedy hit “The Producers” is back in Malaysia again!
Set in 1959 New York, this 12 Tony awards Broadway smash hit explores the witty adventure of two theatrical producers who wanted to get rich by fraudulently overselling interests in a Broadway musical designed to fail. However, things took a turn when the show became a surprise hit!
Directed by one of Malaysia’s most well-known artists and PAN Productions Artistic Director Nell Ng, the critically acclaimed musical is coming back on stage with famous local acts including Peter Ong, Joel Wong, Alizakri Alias, Alfred Loh, Brian Chan, Megan Chng, Anais Shauki, Bihzhu, Carolyn Chow, Kevin Li Sheng, LeonieTunez, Mia Sara Shaki, Melissa Ong, Nisya Aziz, Tan Wei Ling and Wilson Chin.
Peter Ong, one of the most accomplished performing artistes in Malaysia and across the region, expressed his excitement of returning to the stage as the ill-repute producer Max Bialystock. “If you enjoy music and comedy, this is one production you don’t want to miss! Come and enjoy an evening at the theatre for a laugh-out-loud time,” he said.

In addition to that, students from the School of Arts are given the chance to take part and gain more hands-on exposure in theatrical play production.
“The Producers” will also be the first musical to be presented in 7.1 Surround Sound, providing the audience in the hall with an immersive and gripping experience of the production.
