| Synopsis | This course aims to provide learners with an understanding of the fundamentals of smart technology and how it may be used to solve real-world problems in a sustainable way or to achieve sustainability. The course’s focus will be to impart an understanding of technology’s roles and allow learners to assess and recommend the best solutions for selected areas or problems. No prior technical knowledge is required to take this course. |
| Learning Outcome | The learner is exposed to how technologies can solve real-world problems and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The knowledge acquired enables the learner to work with technologists and engineers in developing sustainable solutions using smart technology and IoT, to distinguish the use of smart technology and its role in sustainable solutions, to determine suitable technologies that enable sustainable strategies, and to propose best solutions based on existing smart technology to produce a sustainable solution for a real-world problem. |
