SynopsisEvents have become an increasingly important revenue generating, marketing and branding tool within the hospitality business. As such, this subject highlights the importance of events to a hospitality business. It provides students with theoretical knowledge required to organize a range of events, as well as drawing awareness to the multicultural challenges faced by an events planner particularly when the event is organized for an international audience.  This subject also discusses events planning and management issues on a global scale.

  • Evaluate appropriate event planning strategies for hospitality business.
  • Propose possible professional business plan(s) for various types of events.
  • Apply the impacts of contemporary events issues in hospitality business work.
