Biography

Danesh is a Research Analyst working on applying mapping technologies to various Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) projects; and electoral systems research. After completing his Bachelor of Applied Science (Geomatics) with a First Class Honours at RMIT, Melbourne, he began his career producing maps for various Australian tourist publications before joining a software company where he worked with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for diverse business applications, and other asset management projects. Later he worked for one of the leading GPS companies in the world, TomTom. He returned to Malaysia in 2017 and served as a data analyst at INVOKE, an electoral data analytics firm, while also working on electoral reform activities via his NGO, Tindak Malaysia. He has spoken and written about open electoral data, re-delineation and Malaysian electoral issues in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
