Environmental sustainability is deeply ingrained in the DNA of Sunway University, and this commitment extends to the university's approach to brownfield redevelopment.

The university is situated within a dynamic academic complex, which has a unique history tied to a once-barren and mined-out wasteland.

Today, this rehabilitated mining site stands as the nucleus of Sunway City, a smart and digitally advanced urban center that has flourished through the adoption of sustainable urbanization practices.
