Biography

Tan Yean Nee has a passion for mathematics, as evidenced by her academic qualifications and teaching achievements. She joined Sunway University in 2014 as a teaching fellow. Prior to this, she served as a tutor at the School of Mathematical Sciences at Universiti Sains Malaysia and worked as a teaching assistant during her candidature at National Taiwan University. In 2015, she was awarded a Certificate of Teaching Quality Recognition, and she received the Student Appreciation of Teaching Award in 2016, 2018, and most recently, from 2021 to 2023. Her research interests include matrix algebra, algebra, and coding theory.
