Biography

With more than 15 years of experience in the education field, Ang Siew Ling has taught various subjects including Business Statistics, Management Science, Statistics and Actuarial Science offered in the university’s Industrial Statistics programme and the Actuarial Studies programme. She received her PhD in year 2019, with a focus on loss reserving in non-life insurance and actuarial mathematics. She was Advisor of Sunway Actuarial & Financial Exellence (SAFE) from 2013 to 2016. She is the coordinator of the Internship and External Linkages, where she managed the internship programme of students in both Actuarial Studies and Industrial Statistics programmes and built key connections within the actuarial and big data analytics industries. She is also an ordinary member of Actuarial Society of Malaysia (ASM).
