Overview

This centre was initiated and established in 2019 under the School of Mathematical Sciences, Sunway University. The key functions of CAAARE are to promote research activities and consultancy services to the general public, including the private sectors. This can be achieved through developing new and existing collaborative research networks, build relationships with the relevant professional societies of researchers locally and internationally, providing expertise to support the emerging industry and applied economic research activities as well as partnering with any relevant organization to accelerate knowledge and technology transfer.

Our research associates are from a wide range of discipline such as actuarial, statistics, optimization, optimal control, machine learning, operation research, mathematical modelling, control chart, graph theory and mathematics education. We are dedicated to providing services that matches our area of expertise in manufacturing, logistic & operation, and statistical analysis.

CAAARE aspire to establish itself as a regional hub for research and a leading consultancy services, training and solution provider in the area of actuarial science, mathematics and statistics.

Mission

CAAARE will embrace new frontier interdisciplinary research in actuarial science, mathematics and statistics, develop actuarial and advanced analytics solutions for the industry, and educate the general public through the offering of impactful short courses, high demand training modules and society-driven outreach programmes.
