Biography

Vijaya Malar Arumugam has been involved in teaching and learning for 18 years. She started her academic career as Lecturer in SEGi College, Malaysia where she was actively involved in the development and delivery of Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour and Managerial Studies for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Apart from teaching, she also conducts training programmes in Human Resource Management and Communication. Vijaya is currently championing teaching and learning initiatives at the School of Hospitality where she has actively led the implementation of Brown Bag sessions for colleagues. In addition, she has also spearheaded the outcome based learning activities at the School. Vijaya is pursuing her PhD in hospitality servicescapes at University Malaya Kuala Lumpur.
