This programme aims to transform graduates into Malaysia Certified Behaviour Analysts after achieving the minimal supervised practice hours satisfying the training guidelines of the Malaysia Association of Behaviour Analysis. Sunway University is proud to be the first and only provider of the Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis programme in the Southeast Asia region. The curriculum of the programme covers a range of theoretical and practical aspects of applied behaviour analysis.

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology aims to produce graduates equipped with necessary critical thinking skills, lifelong learners, and all attributes which will add to the national and global requirements of biology. The graduates will become experts and competent scientists who are able to synthesise and apply knowledge via innovative scientific research, problem solving and implementing creative solutions in academic and industrial research in life sciences, allied and interdisciplinary areas. Specifically, the programme equips graduates with strong foundation in science and advanced research skills that will enable graduates to critically think, apply and synthesise the concepts in the field of biology. Besides, it trains students to utilise scientific methods in solving problems while adhering to professional, moral and ethical principles in science. It also develops graduates to become effective communicators who are able to work independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams and display strong cognitive skills (i.e., analysis, synthesis and creativity) in advanced scientific research. Lastly, it produces graduates who are lifelong learners with effective leadership, entrepreneurial and information management skills. The school has an experienced and dedicated team of academicians and researchers to mentor candidates along research journey. Research monitoring and guidance will be conducted in an exclusive, one-to-one manner and supervisors will be on hand to support candidates throughout the duration of the programme. The students will also be exposed to research activities like workshop, symposium or conference organised by the school or in partnership with other schools or institutions. Prior to enrolment, prospective candidates will have to consult Sunway’s qualified and experienced supervisors to ascertain the area of research.

Sunway’s Diploma in Nursing combines both conventional and state-of-the-art technological applications. The programme caters for those with a passion for nurturing the well-being of others. Students in this programme will be able to learn core medical and nursing subjects such as anatomy and physiology of the human body, nursing care and related support subjects such as communication and counselling. The course ensures that students acquire skills in caring, nurturing and counselling, while also working as a team to provide holistic healthcare for all patients. This programme ensures that Sunway University nursing graduates emerge as knowledgeable, competent and caring professionals when taking care of those in need of assistance from a healthcare perspective. The theory and practical assessments are conducted for each semester throughout the 3-year programme. Students will be awarded with Sunway University and the Nursing Board of Malaysia Registration Certificates upon successfully passing the licensure examination.

The Post Basic Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (PBCPN) is a 6 months home grown programme offered by School of Medical and Life Sciences Sunway University. It obtained its approval (PA) from the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) and the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA on 9th March 2021). The structure of the curriculum is guided by the Standard and Guidelines of the Nursing Board Malaysia.
