Sunway University Launches First Penang Hokkien-English Dictionary

Sunway University recently in early July launched the Penang Hokkien – English Dictionary by Tan Siew ImmAimed to help maintain the Penang Hokkien dialect in the face of the growing influence and use of Mandarin among the various ethnic Chinese groups in Malaysia, this unique contribution to language maintenance is the result of five years of research and dictionary development by Tan.

Sunway University takes home the Silver for Education and Learning

Sunway University at the recent Putra Brand Awards 2016 ceremony took home the Silver Award for Education and Learning category. Professor Peter Heard, Provost and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology represented Sunway University at the event.
