Research Centre for Biomedical Sciences

Climate change has been described as the biggest global health threat of the 21st century. The Asia and Pacific regions are at the heart of the climate crisis, and the health of their people will be affected by climate-sensitive diseases such as malaria, undernutrition, heat-related illness, and injuries from natural disasters. To protect health from global warming, the region must act in dramatically reducing its carbon footprint and strengthening communities to adapt to climate change.
