Commitment to a Safe Campus

Sunway University takes student and staff safety, health and well-being seriously. We are aware and actively monitoring developments regarding the Covid19 pandemic, and keeping abreast of all advisory notices and recommendations from Malaysian health and education authorities issued from time-to-time. In order to continue our education activities, all students are required to comply with special operating procedures when on campus.

Students should only attend campus when they have been specifically timetabled to be present. Everyone must complete the health declaration on entry to campus, undergo temperature checks and use the e-trace app to register attendance in specific facilities. All students are expected to wear face masks at all times and to maintain social distancing of 1 metre at all times when on campus. Furthermore students should only sit in designated seats in teaching rooms, the library, or in social learning spaces, and only stand at marked spots in lifts and in queues to ensure social distancing. Hand sanitizer should also be used regularly as well as thorough hand-washing. All students are expected to help in keeping the campus environment clean and tidy at all times in order to optimise sanitizing procedures.

We thank everyone for their support, cooperation, and understanding as we navigate this complex situation together. These measures are all designed to keep everyone in our university community as well as their friends and families safe during this time of pandemic. We will provide updates on any new developments and all precautionary measures taken on our social media platforms and this website. It will be reviewed from time to time. In the interim, do remain vigilant, be constantly aware of the danger, and be mindful of your surroundings. May everyone stay safe and healthy.
