FST is proud to announce that our Head, Department of Biological Sciences, Professor Naveed Khan has won the Pakistan Academy Sciences (PAS) Gold Medal 2015 with cash prize, in the field of Biological Sciences in recognition of the outstanding research work. The Award Ceremony was held on 26 November, 2015 in Pakistan.

Recognising the acute shortage and increasing demand for nurses in Malaysia and internationally, and in tandem with the government’s call to provide better health care services to the general public, Sunway University proudly announced the signing of a Nursing Training Agreement between Sunway Medical Centre (SunMed) and Sunway University College (Sunway), to work in partnership to improve the calibre of nurses and meet the shortage in the country. The signing ceremony was held at Sunway University College recently. The Government has since classified nursing as a critical field and allowed the formation of many new nursing colleges.
Jeffrey Cheah Foundation Doubles Annual Scholarship Total To Over RM 33 Million

The Jeffrey Cheah Foundation (JCF) doubles its scholarships awarded this year to over RM33 million, beating last year’s record of RM17.2 million. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin presented the scholarships to the recipients together with Tan Sri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah, AO, Founding Trustee of the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation and Chancellor of Sunway University at the annual Jeffrey Cheah Foundation Scholarships and Awards Ceremony 2014 at Sunway University Hall.

Study trips are very much used as part of our teaching and learning activities here at the Centre for Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Management. These trips are not merely a fun time out (as reflected in the pictures below!), but students are required to conduct primary / secondary research for their research topics.
