Team Sunway clinched second place in MASISWA Volleyball Championship 2017

MASISWA Volleyball Championship 2017 finally came to a close!

Sunway University Women's Volleyball Team finished second at the tournament. Despite putting up a brave fight, Team Sunway narrowly missed out the crown when they lost to TARUC in the final.

Nonetheless, it was a great effort and all players gained crucial experience from the championship. Another huge congratulation once again!

Third-place finish for Team Sunway in Futsal and Chess

Both the Sunway University Squash Team and Sunway University Men's Futsal Team had an amazing tournament this month.

Team Sunway finished third respectively in UCSI Open Futsal Tournament 2017 (MAPCU) and Kejohanan Skuasy Berpasukan & Sirkit Skuasy IPT 2017.

It was a great effort from both teams.

Great experience for Sunway University Chess Team

The Sunway University Chess Team had returned from the 1st HELP University Chess Competition at HELP International School Hall with great results.

Lau Zhun King (most left) bagged the best IPT player in the men's category while Joanavene Tan (most right) claimed the best girl player at the end of the tournament.

On the other hand, Chan Shen Yip (second from right) and Teh Wee Zhun (second from left) finished 3rd and 15th respectively.

In Kejohanan Catur Terbuka PAKGAM 2017 at Komplek Rakan Muda Sementa, Kapar, Klang - Chan Shen Yip from the Sunway University Chess Team won a bronze medal.

Unlike physical sports like futsal or squash, or even athletics, chess is perceived as a boring game by many. However, watching the players sitting over the chess board and moving the 32 pieces around can be highly exciting for those who follow the game. Along with sharpness of mind, chess is also a sport that demands physical fitness, constant training and dedication.

Thank you for all your hard work.
