About The Programme

The BSc (Hons) Information Technology (Computer Networking and Security) aims to equip students with excellent technical knowledge and skills, exploring the technology behind computer networks and security systems. This programme focuses on developments in networking and distributed applications such as the Internet and World Wide Web, corporate networks and the information systems that they interconnect.

Students will be well-versed in computer security (i.e, prevention and investigation on issues related to computer hacking), gaining the ability to manage and develop computer systems and applications that enhances computer networking and security in organisations.

Points are calculated based on grades obtained for 2 or 3 subjects

Sunway Foundation in Arts CGPA 2.3
Sunway Foundation in Science and Technology CGPA 2.3
UEC Maximum 26 points from 5 subjects (all Grade Bs including Mathematics)
IB Completed with minimum 25 points (excluding bonus points)
Sunway Diploma Studies
Students may obtain advanced standing if credit transfer requirements are met.

Any other equivalent qualifications. Applicant with no standard qualification will be considered on a case-to-case basis


Mathematics Requirement:
Credit in Additional Mathematics or its equivalent.

IELTS 6.0
PTE Acedemic 50 overall (minimum 46 in each skill)
MUET Band 4
SPM English B3 or B+
UEC English B4
O-Level English Credit
Sunway Intensive English Programme (IEP) Pass Level 4 with minimum 65%
ESL/ English Satisfactory level in Pre-University programmes where the medium of instruction is English
