About The Programme

The BSc (Hons) Information Technology will give you strong analytical skills as well as train you to be technologically savvy. Graduates will be able to work in high technology industries as well as in organisations that make significant use of computer systems.

A good mix of knowledge in software development and hardware will make you attractive employee in line with the needs of the fast-moving technology-based industries. By combining your knowledge on the technical side of IT with hands-on experience, you will be adept at developing an organisation’s technology infrastructure and support the people who use it.

This is a versatile programme that offers many options for students. It is a general degree, best suited for students who wish to proceed as generalists in computing and build successful careers as IT professionals and managers. However, the options don’t end there – students can continue into graduate study, take up research positions, or go into cross-disciplinary innovation.

STPM Average C+ or CGPA 2.33 (minimum 2 Principals)
A Level
Points are calculated based on grades obtained for 2 or 3 subjects

Sunway Foundation in Arts CGPA 2.3
Sunway Foundation in Science and Technology CGPA 2.3
UEC Maximum 26 points from 5 subjects (all Grade Bs including Mathematics)
IB Completed with minimum 25 points (excluding bonus points)
Sunway Diploma Studies
Students may obtain advanced standing if credit transfer requirements are met.

Any other equivalent qualifications. Applicant with no standard qualification will be considered on a case-to-case basis


Mathematics Requirement:
Credit in Additional Mathematics or its equivalent.

TOEFL 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), 80 (internet-based)
IELTS 6.0
PTE Acedemic 50 overall (minimum 46 in each skill)
MUET Band 4
SPM English B3 or B+
UEC English B4
O-Level English Credit
Sunway Intensive English Programme (IEP) Pass Level 4 with minimum 65%
ESL/ English Satisfactory level in Pre-University programmes where the medium of instruction is English
