About The Programme

The BSc (Hons) Information Systems (Business Analytics) focuses on its study of technologies and analytical skills, with core subjects on data mining, business intelligence, knowledge management, social media analytics, big data analytics in the Cloud and others.

The emergence and advancement of multimedia, social media and the Internet is fuelling exponential growth in data captured by enterprises. Harnessing and analysing massive data creates significant value for organisations and it has become the basis for their decision-making to achieve greater efficiencies and innovation. This means that graduates with business analytics skills are in high demand across the globe.

Internship and capstone project are incorporated into the programme. During their studies, students will solve practical and real-world problems of companies utilising data sets in the presence of analytics experts. Through our strong alliance with SAS Institute, students are also awarded an additional joint-certificate in Business Intelligence and Data Mining from SAS Inc. USA. This industry-linked certificate will be an added advantage for the students, making them very employable graduates.

Mathematics Requirement:
Credit in Additional Mathematics or its equivalent.

TOEFL 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), 80 (internet-based)
PTE Acedemic 50 overall (minimum 46 in each skill)
MUET Band 4
SPM English B3 or B+
UEC English B4
O-Level English Credit
Sunway Intensive English Programme (IEP) Pass Level 4 with minimum 65%
ESL/ English Satisfactory level in Pre-University programmes where the medium of instruction is English
