The partnership actively encourages student mobility between the two universities, and depending on the course of study the options may include:
- Summer schools
- Student exchange
- Study abroad
- Transfer pathways from Sunway to Lancaster
- Bachelor to Masters pathways*
*Postgraduate scholarships are available to all alumni of the partnership who wish to pursue a Masters/PhD with Lancaster University at their UK campus.
SUNWAY CULTURAL EXCHANGE
The Lancaster Summer Programme is a 3-week programme that focuses on the development of an international mind set, transferable skills and employability of students.
The Malaysian Experience (TheME) ‘summer school’ gives students from Lancaster University an opportunity to learn about the people and culture of Malaysia, while the International Cultural Experience (ICE) was developed to give students at Sunway University an insight into the UK and the opportunity to experience Lancaster.
Both programmes are typically 3-weeks in length, and involve a range of oncampus activities and off-campus field trips to expose the students to the lives, cultures and communities of the country they are visiting.
Since their inception in 2011, some 300+ students from Lancaster University have participated in the programme in Malaysia, and 600+ Sunway University students have been to the UK. Read more
