About The Programme

The nursing profession offers many employment and career opportunities. In Sunway University, we prepare our students for a diverse and rewarding profession that combines compassion with the latest healthcare technology.

Our Diploma in Nursing ensures that students acquire skills in treating, rehabilitating, counselling and educating patients, their families and the community. They work as members of the healthcare team in providing holistic care to patients. This programme ensures that Sunway University nursing graduates emerge as professionals who are capable, caring and knowledgeable when treating those in need of assistance.

The theory and practical assessments will be conducted in each semester throughout the 3-year programme. Students are required to pass the Sunway University final year examination before they can sit for the Malaysian Nursing Board Registration Examination.

Entry Requirement

SPM - Pass with minimum 5 credits (including Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Biology or General Science). Candidates with pass in Biology may be considered if they obtained a credit in chemistry or Physics.

o-Level - Pass with minimum 5 credits (including English, Mathematics, Biology or General Science). Candidates with pass in Biology may be considered if they obtained a credit in Chemistry or Physic

UEC - Pass with minimum 5 grade Bs (including Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Biology or General Science). Candidates with pass in Biology may be considered if they obtained a credit in Chemistry or Physics.
 

Specific Requirement

All applicants are required to attend an interview and pass a medical check-up. International students should be able to converse in Bahasa Melayu.
The Nursing Board of Malaysia requires nursing examination candidates (icgse/uec) to possess a SPM qualification with credit in Bahasa Melayu.
 

English Language Requirements

IELTS 5.5
International students must have a pass in International English Testing System (IELTS) with an Overall Band Score of minimum 5.5; OR Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL) :


Applicants are required to fulfil an interview, a medical check-up and physically fit.
