The Graphene and Advanced 2D Materials Research Group (GAMRG) is hosting its first international conference on emerging materials for sustainable energy and environment (EMSEE2022). The main objective of the EMSEE2022 conference is to bring together top scientific experts, researchers, and research scholars to exchange and share research findings on current breakthroughs in emerging materials for sustainable green energy. Furthermore, EMSEE2022 aims to create a platform to increase prospects for successful collaboration across research groups. Above all, EMSEE2022 wishes to highlight and address issues concerning sustainability and the environment, as well as practical challenges experienced and future potential. EMSEE2022 will be held from December 13th to 15th, 2022, in collaboration with NanoMalaysia, Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).

The conference will be hosted at the Sunway Resort Hotel, which is in the center of Sunway City and only 12 kilometers (about 7.46 mi) from the heart of Kuala Lumpur, with easy access to the city and beyond.

The conference will focus on current trends and anticipated future concerns concerning new materials in a variety of applications. The meeting sessions will feature invited speakers from top experts in respective disciplines, contributed oral papers, and poster presentations. Attendees will be able to exchange ideas on the underlying interactions and the usage of developing materials in research and applications in a wide range of fields such as solar energy conversion, electrochemical energy storage & management, thermal storage & management, gas catalysis, and other relevant issues.

In terms of participation in EMSEE2022, the organizing committees are all united in actively urging local/international young colleagues, industries, academicians, postdocs, PhD students, other post-graduates, and undergraduate students to attend.

About the Collaborators

NanoMalaysia was incorporated in 2011 as a company limited by guarantee (CLBG) under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) to act as a business entity entrusted with nanotechnology commercialisation and industrialisation activities through a venture builder model. The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Manipal University Jaipur is NBA accredited department and the University is Rajasthan’s first university to be awarded NAAC A+ grade. The permanent campus of MUJ is set up on 122 acres of land, in the outskirt of Jaipur and is by far one of the best campuses in the region. It has been bestowed with the ‘National Education Excellence ASSOCHAM Award 2015’ and five-star rating by ‘Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment’ (GRIHA). Manipal University Jaipur, established on an invitation from the Government of Rajasthan, is all set to redefine academic excellence in the region. MUJ has world class infrastructure, incorporating advanced research facilities and modern library.

Pandit Deendayal Energy University, formerly Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, has been established by GERMI as a Private University through the State Act enacted on 4 April 2007. The university is located at Raysan village of Gandhinagar city in an area known as Knowledge Corridor, and it is near the GIFT City.

Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) is a new and vibrant entity at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) International Campus, situated in Kuala Lumpur and about a mile from the iconic twin tower. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a private deemed university located in Katpadi in Vellore, India.
